Cookies enable, among other things, the proper functioning of a website, the maintenance of a user session, the remembering of certain settings and, with the user's appropriate consent, the analysis of site usage and the measurement of marketing activities.
In addition to conventional cookies, we may also use similar technologies, such as:
- local storage and session storage;
- pixels and web beacons;
- tags;
- browser identifiers;
- conversion measurement technologies;
- other similar web technologies.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off through our cookie settings tool where they are required for the functioning of the relevant service.
Blocking such cookies through web browser settings may result in certain functionalities of Sveska not working properly.
4.2 Analytics cookies
On the public website sveska.app, with the user's consent, we may use analytics cookies in order to better understand how visitors use our site.
These cookies may help us understand, for example:
- the number of visits to the site;

- how visitors move through the site;
- the approximate duration of a visit;
- the source through which a visitor arrived at the site;
- the types of devices and browsers used;
- the performance of individual pages and content;
- how we can improve the user experience and the content of the site.
For this purpose we use or may use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google.
Analytics cookies are not necessary for the use of the public website and will not be activated until the user gives appropriate consent.
4.3 Marketing cookies
On the public website sveska.app, with the user's consent, we may use marketing cookies and similar technologies in order to measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities and advertisements.

The exact name of the cookie that contains the configuration identifier may vary.

Google Analytics is currently used exclusively on the public website sveska.app, and not within business.sveska.app or booking.sveska.app.
Meta Pixel
On the public website sveska.app we may use Meta Pixel in order to measure and improve the performance of our marketing campaigns on Meta platforms.
Meta Pixel may record certain interactions with the public website and link them to technical identifiers required for measuring advertising performance.
Depending on how the visitor accessed the site and on our technical configuration, cookies such as the following may be used:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta | Measurement of advertising and site activity | Marketing |
_fbc | Meta | Linking a visit to a click on a Meta advertisement, where applicable | Marketing |
The _fbc cookie need not be set on every visit to the site and its use may depend on how the user arrived at our site.
Meta may change the names, functions or retention periods of certain cookies in line with the development of its technologies.
Meta Pixel is currently used exclusively on the public website sveska.app, and not within business.sveska.app or booking.sveska.app.
Consent to the use of cookies
When a visitor accesses the public website sveska.app for the first time, a cookie management tool may be displayed to them.
Through that tool the user may:
- Accept all strictly necessary and optional cookies;
- Reject all optional cookies;
- select Cookie settings and decide individually which categories of optional cookies to allow.
Strictly necessary cookies remain active where they are required for the proper functioning of the site or for the provision of functionality that the user has expressly requested.
Analytics and marketing cookies are switched off by default on a first visit and are activated only after the user gives appropriate consent.
Rejecting optional cookies does not affect the ability to use the basic content of the public website.
What “Reject all” means
The “Reject all” option refers to rejecting all cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary.
Choosing the “Reject all” option does not switch off strictly necessary cookies that are required for:
- the functioning of the site or the application;
- security;
- authentication;
- maintaining the user session;
- storing the user's cookie choices;
- providing functionality that the user has expressly requested.
When the user chooses “Reject all”, analytics and marketing cookies will not be activated.
Cookie settings
By choosing the “Cookie settings” option, the user can manage the optional cookie categories separately.
The settings currently comprise:
Strictly necessary cookies
Always active
They are required for the proper and secure functioning of the site and cannot be switched off through our cookie management tool.
Analytics cookies
The user can switch this category on or off independently.
Marketing cookies
The user can switch this category on or off independently.
Once the choice has been made, the user can select the “Save choice” option.
The user may also select “Accept all”, thereby giving consent for all currently available categories of optional cookies.
Storing the user's choice
When a user accepts, rejects or customizes the use of cookies, we may store a technical record of their choice.
We use this record in order to:
- remember the user's choice;
- apply the appropriate settings;
- avoid unnecessarily displaying the consent request again on every visit.
We may store the user's choice for up to 12 months, unless:
- the user changes their choice earlier;
- there is a significant change in the technologies we use;
- we change the purposes for which certain cookies are used;
- it is necessary to request consent again in accordance with applicable regulations.
The technical name of the cookie or other record in which we store the user's choice may depend on the consent management solution we use.
Changing or withdrawing consent
The user may change their choice or withdraw previously given consent at any time.
The “Cookie settings” option is available via the corresponding link on the Sveska public website.
After opening the settings, the user can:
- switch analytics cookies on or off;
- switch marketing cookies on or off;
- save the new choice.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it was withdrawn.
After consent is withdrawn, we stop any further activation of the corresponding optional cookies.
Certain cookies previously stored on the device may remain stored until their technical period expires or until the user removes them themselves through their web browser settings.
Closing the banner without making a choice
If the user closes the cookie notice without giving consent, such an action will not be deemed acceptance of analytics or marketing cookies.
Until the user makes an appropriate choice, optional cookies that require consent remain switched off.
Related Sveska domains
Sveska uses several related web domains and subdomains.
Where technically possible and appropriate, we may use technical mechanisms in order to remember the user's cookie choices across related Sveska web environments.
Storing or transferring information about the user's choice does not mean that the same analytics or marketing technologies are used on all Sveska domains.
In the current configuration:
- Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are used only on sveska.app;
- Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not used on business.sveska.app;
- Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not used on booking.sveska.app.
Third-party cookies
Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are third-party technologies.
When the user gives consent for the relevant cookie category, certain technical data may be transmitted to those providers in accordance with the way their technologies operate.
The way in which Google and Meta further process data is also governed by their own privacy policies, cookie rules and other applicable terms.
Sveska does not have full control over changes that third parties may make to the way their technologies operate.
International data transfers
The use of services of international technology providers, including Google and Meta, may involve the processing or transfer of certain data outside the Republic of Serbia or the European Economic Area.
Where such a transfer is applicable, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable regulations and the Sveska Privacy Policy.
More information about the processing of personal data, service providers and international data transfers is available in the Sveska Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies through the web browser
Most web browsers allow the user to view, block or delete cookies from their device.
The way cookies are managed depends on the browser and the device the user is using.
If the user blocks all cookies through their web browser settings, including strictly necessary cookies, certain functionalities of Sveska may not work properly.
Web browser settings represent an additional means of control and do not replace the consent management tool available on our site.
Cookie retention period
The period for which an individual cookie remains stored depends on:
- its purpose;
- the type of cookie;
- the technical configuration of Sveska;
- the user's choices;
- the configuration of the technology provider;
- changes in third-party technologies.
Cookies may be:
Session cookies, which are as a rule removed after the session ends or the web browser is closed; or
Persistent cookies, which remain on the device for a certain period of time or until the user removes them.
The list of cookies set out in this Policy represents the cookies that are used or may be used under the current configuration of Sveska and may be updated in line with changes to our services or to third-party technologies.
Legal framework
We use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia governing personal data protection and electronic communications, as well as with the GDPR where applicable.
For strictly necessary cookies, consent is not required where their use is necessary to enable communication, to ensure the proper functioning of the service or to provide functionality that the user has expressly requested, in accordance with applicable regulations.
For analytics, marketing and other optional cookies that require consent, we rely on the prior consent given by the user.
Changes to the Cookie Policy
We may amend this Policy from time to time, in particular when:
- we introduce new cookies or similar technologies;
- we change existing technologies;
- we introduce analytics or marketing technologies on additional parts of Sveska;
- we change service providers;
- we change the purpose of a particular processing operation;
- there are relevant changes in regulations or in regulatory practice.
The latest version of the Cookie Policy will be available on the Sveska website.
If we make significant changes that affect consent previously given by the user, we may request the user's choice again before activating the corresponding optional technologies.
Relationship with the Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy supplements the Sveska Privacy Policy.
The Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies in more detail, while the Privacy Policy contains broader information about how Sveska collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data, as well as about the rights of data subjects.
For matters not specifically governed by this Policy, the Privacy Policy and applicable regulations apply.
